Welcome to Jim Coleman Cadillac, a family-owned dealership with a historic automotive heritage spanning back to the 1940s. Our dealership's journey began in Washington DC, where company founder Bill Coleman held his first position as a salesperson at Capitol Cadillac. Mr. Coleman's dedication and expertise soon elevated him to the position of General Manager and Partner at Suburban Cadillac in downtown Bethesda. In 1968, he acquired the dealership, renaming it Coleman Cadillac. With a focus on integrity and customer satisfaction, the Coleman name became synonymous with excellence in the community. In 1978, Bill's son Jim joined the team, and together they established a new expansive facility on an 8-acre parcel of land next to Montgomery Mall. This remarkable location featured one of the largest Cadillac showrooms and service shops in the country at the time. In 1980, Jim assumed full responsibility for the dealership, becoming the youngest recognized Cadillac dealer in the nation at the age of 26. The dealership was subsequently renamed Jim Coleman Cadillac, marking the pivotal transition from the business’ first to second generation. Jim Coleman Cadillac is now in its 3rd generation and led by Jim’s sons Patrick and Brendan who continue to deliver on the legacy of exceptional service and automotive expertise.
